Because of your generosity, our students now have an organized and reliable way to keep our classroom iPads charged and ready to use every single day. Your donation is truly making a difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nIn kindergarten, technology is an important learning tool. Our students use iPads for reading practice, math games, phonics activities, language development, and creative projects. However, when iPads are not charged or are difficult to store safely, it limits valuable instructional time.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving this charging station, keeping our iPads organized and powered up was a daily challenge. Chargers would get tangled, misplaced, or damaged. Sometimes devices would run out of battery in the middle of a lesson, which could be frustrating for young learners. As a kindergarten classroom, routines and smooth transitions are extremely important. Having a structured system in place helps our students stay focused and independent.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, we now have a designated space where each iPad has its own slot and charger.","fullyFundedDate":1766620389660,"projectUrl":"project/charged-up-and-ready-to-create/9959564/","projectTitle":"Charged Up and Ready to Create","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Doving","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5299263_orig.jpg?crop=868,868,x203,y150&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761501006462","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kdoving"},{"teacherId":2300197,"projectId":9933887,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in funding this project. Every Friday morning since (minus one), the 4th and 5th grade members of the BV Coffee Club have been working tirelessly to serve the BV community a hot cup of coffee and a yummy treat - only $1 each! \r\n\r\nThe BV Coffee Club gives students the opportunity to develop responsibility and leadership skills, while honing their communication strengths and deepening their integrity. They bravely approach teachers, staff, and parents asking respectfully and politely if they'd like to order coffee and a treat. They carefully craft delicious cups of coffee tailored to each customer's liking. They deliver coffee and treats once the orders have been taken, to the client's desk, office, or directly into their hands at the coffee cart. They work together as a team to complete each step of the order taking and fulfillment process. \r\n\r\nAt our very first meeting, students were asked where they would like to donate any proceeds from the coffee and treats sales. Several ideas were presented, and one prevailed. Students voted, and the decision to donate proceeds to the Walker Creek Scholarship Fund was made. We received generous donations through Donors Choose, which enabled us to purchase our coffee cart and many supplies. Ms. Doving donated our aprons, and Ms. Soto donated a coffee carafe. And so many teachers purchased punchcards and have been supporting us throughout the school year.
