Your donation gave my students access to high-quality paint materials that we've already put to meaningful use.\r\n\r\nDuring Black History Month, we explored the life and work of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Students were fascinated by his bold style, expressive symbols, and powerful storytelling. Using the donated paint, they created their own Basquiat-inspired pieces—layering colors, words, and imagery to express their identities, emotions, and ideas.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate—there were smiles, gasps, and so many eager hands ready to begin creating.
