They are up doing math. They are collaborating, sharing ideas, making mistakes. Learning from one another. Their thinking is visible to all around the room. Students are randomly trio'd and this gives them a chance to work with everyone any day. The random grouping helps them learn from different people each day. The curtains have helped me create a warm and inviting learning space for my students. They look great. Everyone (child and adult alike) has expressed how lovely they make the classroom feel.\r\n In addition to the aesthetic value, the curtains have succeeded in accomplishing their practical purpose of darkening and quieting the room for rest time. Many of my four-year old students have working parents who must drop them off early in the morning and pick them up at 6:00 pm.
