Our classroom is brimming with learners who love to read! Students enjoy moving around and choosing a special seat to read independently and with their literature circle groups. We have a huge carpeted bungalow, so kids love sitting on the floor. I have a basket of pillows for them to sit on, and they always scoop them up right away and find a corner to read in. Unfortunately, there are not enough cushions for all 34 students. Additional seating such as these plush beanbags will let my students stay comfortable while cozying up with a good book, encouraging a lifelong love of literature and learning. Our class is so much fun, and reading for pleasure can be even more enjoyable when students are relaxed, comfortable, and feel at home in our classroom. Imagine students reading in bean bag chairs propped up against a book shelf, or using reading pillows to create a special little spot for their imaginations to grow and unfold.
