Many of them have not had first hand experience growing plants from seed. We have several projects going in the tabletop greenhouses at once. In the bottom of the greenhouses we have started some plants from seed. It surprised my students when one type of seed sprouted over the weekend, but the others are taking longer. As the plants mature we will pot them up, giving them more room for root growth. Out goal is to be able to plant them in pots or our biology garden at the school in another month.\r\n\r\nYour donation of the tabletop greenhouses and heat mats, make our ability to extend our growing season throughout the year. This allows us to better integrate plants as biological examples into our curriculum. Student have begun to ask more questions about how they grow and are niticing more differences. Plants are no longer something that just sit on my windowsill!\r\nPlans are already in place for my students to begin growing plants from seed on the first day of school next year.
