Mock Trial is an educational competition program that teaches students about our legal system and helps them develop legal knowledge, speaking and performance skills, and critical thinking skills. Our team placed 5th in our county (a school record) this season and one of our students made it to the state competition as a Courtroom Artist. These funds will go to pay for her entry fees, as well as a trip for the entire team to support her and learn from the best teams in the state. From this experience students will get further practice in the skills that Mock Trial supports and they will be able to apply them to future practice both in life and future Mock Trial seasons. They will also learn the importance of peer support and sportsmanship as they go to support our team member and the team from our county that made it to the competition.
