We are still at the beginning of our school year, but we are already putting to use the items that we were able to purchase because of your donations. The students were extremely excited when they saw the couch assembled in our classroom. They commented on how comfortable it was and could not wait for their turn to sit there. We also have after-school classes that are held in our classrooms, and those students have also shared their excitement about the options we have in our classroom. To create a clean and organized environment, we are using the bins and trays to keep items on our shelves in an organized manner, to be easily accessible when needed. Each student has their bag with items next to their desk, allowing them to keep their space organized and clean. The lap desk is perfect when students want to sit on the floor to do their work, and the couch provides another seating option for students when they are learning. \r\n These items are creating a fun, flexible, and comfortable learning environment for students, and I could not be happier to provide this for them. We will be starting our writers workshop in the following week, which will eventually lead to publishing a class book; the topic is still undecided. Again, we cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Because of you, our 1st–3rd graders are being introduced to the joy of classic games like dominoes, jacks, and tiddlywinks. These games are not only bringing excitement and laughter to our classroom but are also helping students develop important skills like hand-eye coordination, critical thinking, and teamwork. One of the most memorable moments was watching students strategize during a game of dominoes, carefully planning their moves while cheering each other on. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the games, their eyes lit up with excitement! For almost all, this allowed them the opportunity to try something completely new. Now that they are learning the basics, our next step is to have them teach their families at home. Thanks to your generosity, they're not only having fun but also building confidence, creativity, and social skills.
