Technology has become an important tool in our classroom because it helps students engage more deeply with their learning. Rather than simply receiving information, students can interact with lessons, practice skills at their own pace, and receive immediate feedback. The technology also allows me to differentiate instruction, providing additional support for students who need it while offering enrichment opportunities for those who are ready for greater challenges. As a result, students are more engaged, confident, and motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about this new technology is the interactive experience it provides. They love being able to explore concepts in creative ways, collaborate with classmates, and take a more active role in their learning. The novelty of using modern tools in the classroom has generated tremendous enthusiasm, and students are eager to use IXL during lessons.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from and embraced this new technology. Some of my quieter students have gained confidence because the tools allow them to participate and demonstrate their understanding in ways that feel comfortable to them. Students who sometimes struggle with traditional instruction have also responded positively because the technology offers immediate feedback and opportunities to practice independently. It has been wonderful to see these students become more engaged, take academic risks, and experience success in new ways.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make these opportunities possible. Your generosity is providing students with meaningful learning experiences and preparing them with skills they will use throughout their educational journey.","fullyFundedDate":1777750664724,"projectUrl":"project/practice-makes-progress/10200468/","projectTitle":"Practice Makes Progress","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Paa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1468186_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1456806445586","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jessica-paa"},{"teacherId":4463058,"projectId":9904066,"letterContent":"My goal has been to incorporate literature circles back into the classroom, but I found that my students reading levels this year are so diverse from 1st grade level to 8th grade level. We are so grateful for your kind donation that allowed us to have these resources in our classroom. The students were very excited to have the word work materials! We do UFLI on a daily basis as our phonics program and when they saw how the word work mat that they see on the big screen is the same that they had in front of them, they were thrilled! The joy they had to physically manipulate the letters/sound patterns to create words really had the learning come to life. The mats are organized in a way where we can easily switch from one mat to another. One example is the word work mat that had designated squares to help students organize their magnet tiles. I help guide them through using the sound boxes to help spell out words with our spelling pattern of the week. Then for small groups, we can switch to the word ladders where they can manipulate one-two sounds to create new words. This is especially helpful for emerging readers and spellers. The rhyming/patterned words help them feel success in reading and spelling the words.\r\n\r\nThe plastic sleeves are used when we do our Toothy activity. It is an activity where they answer the question correctly, they get to fill in a tooth for their character. It is a fun and interactive way to quiz students on the week's grammar/spelling/math concept to gauge their understanding. \r\n\r\nWe are excited to create books with the binding machine. We are currently working on personal narrative writing. As soon as they finish their drafts, I plan on having them publish their writing to create books for their peers to enjoy. This is a way for them to truly take ownership and pride in their writing.","fullyFundedDate":1771016853380,"projectUrl":"project/bound-for-success/10058886/","projectTitle":"Bound for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Atienza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1271778_orig.png?crop=272,272,x42,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1557336821546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msprofeta"},{"teacherId":2768725,"projectId":10143684,"letterContent":"This is not the first time we have had the honor of thanking your family for the donations. \r\n\r\nRoom 403 will never be the same because of the wonderful contributions made to our students. \r\n\r\nOur students are eager to speak and share ideas in front of one another. Throughout the process, students strengthened skills in teamwork, perseverance, and innovation while making connections to real-world applications of science and design. This project not only increased student engagement, but also built confidence as they saw their ideas come to life. Most students are now very excited on how 3D printers can be use to increase their understanding of science concepts and how 3D printed items are changing many fields in science.
