The moment my students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with curiosity—they couldn't wait to dive in and start exploring. Several of them immediately began working together to build bridges with the engineering sets, testing how much weight their creations could hold. Their laughter and determination filled the room as they problem-solved, made adjustments, and cheered each other on.\r\n\r\nSince then, these new STEM bins have become a highlight of our day. During morning tub time, students practice cooperation and critical thinking while engaging in hands-on activities that strengthen their math, science, and engineering skills. For example, one group recently used the materials to design a \"marble maze,\" and afterwards, they explained their thinking process to the class. It was a wonderful way to see their creativity and problem-solving in action.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our centers into a place of exploration and innovation. The next step for my students is to apply the skills they are practicing in STEM bins to larger projects, like designing simple machines and exploring cause-and-effect through motion experiments. I know these materials will continue to spark curiosity and inspire learning for a long time.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you for believing in them and supporting their learning journey. Your kindness has made an incredible difference in our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1635294513483,"projectUrl":"project/stem-centers-learning-through-play/5791231/","projectTitle":"STEM Centers: Learning Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2464123_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470092663380","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/r-coates"},{"teacherId":2464123,"projectId":4108654,"letterContent":"My students loved this project. It has benefited so many of my students. Each time I pull out our robots to work on coding and practice with our iPads, the kiddos eyes light up. These materials have made so many projects fun! Students enjoy using the coding app to make them move. Even though this is basic coding, it is a stepping stone, a foundation for kiddos that may not have tried coding in any other form.
