The fidget and stress toys, included in goodie bags, were especially impactful—many students shared that they helped them stay relaxed and engaged during the presentations. One student even noted that the fidget toy was an unexpected favorite, helping them stay focused while enjoying the event.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. The combination of food, interactive elements like the photobooth, and the thoughtful inclusion of stress-relief items created a positive atmosphere that students described as \"fun,\" \"welcoming,\" and \"celebratory.\" Many shared that they felt valued and recognized for their academic efforts, which is not always something they experience in a typical school day.\r\n\r\nBeyond the celebration itself, this event reinforced students' understanding of the long-term benefits of dual enrollment. The toothpicks, glass slides, and coverslips were handy for our Biology students who used them for their \"Cheek Cells\" lab. In addition, we usually use the Petri dishes for the \"Mustard Seeds\" lab to help our students understand the steps of the scientific method.
