From college application help to career pathway planning, our center is busier than ever — and your donations have made a real difference in keeping it running smoothly.\r\n\r\nOur new supplies are used every single day. Students grab tissues and hand sanitizer before diving into scholarship essays or college applications. For the most part, our students keep the place tidy when they leave, never leaving a mess or unsanitary conditions for the next student. It might seem simple, but maintaining a clean, comfortable space helps students stay focused and keeps them coming back for guidance and support.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the next semester, students will continue using this space to prepare for FAFSA, explore college and career pathways, and celebrate their post-graduation plans. The trivia games have quickly become a favorite tradition on campus, giving students the opportunity to engage with college and career readiness in a format that feels exciting and approachable.\r\n\r\nBy using Kahoot, I was able to mix important college and financial aid knowledge with fun, lighthearted topics that students genuinely enjoy—like Marvel superheroes, sports, and pop culture. This format lowered the intimidation factor around big topics like scholarships and FAFSA, and made students more comfortable asking follow-up questions about their own futures.\r\n\r\nThe prizes and snacks you funded created even more excitement and participation. Whether students won a college t-shirt, a gift card, or just a granola bar and some encouragement, they left with a smile—and a little more knowledge. The rewards made them feel seen and celebrated, while the games themselves created a sense of community across grades 9–12.\r\n\r\nAs a counselor and alum of this school, it has been so meaningful to see my students engaged, laughing, and learning together. Many of them now stop by my office to talk more about colleges, majors, and opportunities they hadn't thought about before. This project has shown them that preparing for the future doesn't have to be stressful—it can be fun, collaborative, and empowering.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and helping me build a positive learning environment that sparks both curiosity and confidence.
