My students are using the notebooks, pencils, paper, and other supplies throughout our daily reading and writing activities. Having these materials readily available means students can come into class, get what they need, and begin learning without worrying about whether they have the right supplies. These resources have helped make our daily routines smoother and allow students to spend more time focused on learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were especially excited when they saw all of the new materials arrive! Of course, the small rewards and sensory items immediately caught their attention, but they were also excited to see supplies that were specifically for them to use throughout the year. I have been able to use these rewards to recognize hard work, improvement, participation, and positive choices. The laminator and organizational materials have also helped me create reusable activities and keep classroom resources organized and accessible for students.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these resources will continue supporting our reading, writing, grammar, and literature lessons throughout the school year. Students will use their notebooks and classroom supplies to annotate texts, respond to literature, practice writing skills, and complete larger writing projects. My goal is to continue building their independence and confidence as readers and writers. Thank you for investing in my students and helping give them a classroom where they have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1768099497682,"projectUrl":"project/learning-essentials/9993641/","projectTitle":"Learning Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jiron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10363740_orig.jpg?crop=2157,2157,x957,y585&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1788853198612","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10363740"},{"teacherId":10395550,"projectId":9979284,"letterContent":"Because of your incredible generosity, my students now have access to technology that helps make learning more engaging, accessible, and meaningful. In our self-contained Special Education classroom, every student learns differently, and technology provides additional ways for them to explore lessons, practice important skills, communicate, and participate more independently. Interactive and hands-on learning opportunities help my students stay engaged while allowing instruction to be adapted to meet their individual needs.\r\n\r\nWhat has been especially exciting is seeing how eager my students are to use these new resources. Technology has created opportunities for students to actively participate in learning in ways that feel motivating and enjoyable. Students who may sometimes struggle with traditional paper-and-pencil activities have shown increased interest and confidence when learning through interactive tools.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided so much more than a product for our classroom—it has created new opportunities for my students to learn, grow, and believe in themselves. What started as curiosity quickly turned into genuine excitement as students began asking deeper questions about space, observation, and how scientific knowledge is built. In another project, our earthquake table transformed the classroom into a hub of engineering and problem-solving, where students designed, tested, and refined their ideas together.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were immediate and unforgettable. There was a buzz of excitement, with students eager to jump in, explore, and figure things out for themselves. Even those who are typically hesitant became engaged, drawn in by the opportunity to learn through doing. These resources didn't just capture attention, they sustained it, helping students build confidence and curiosity in ways that traditional instruction alone cannot.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students are continuing to build on these experiences by connecting their observations to real-world scientific concepts. They are exploring how early astronomers used similar tools to develop the theories we study today, deepening their understanding of both science and its history. The impact of your support has reached beyond our classroom, inspiring conversations and interest across our campus. This is more than a lesson, it's an experience that many of these students will carry with them for a lifetime.","fullyFundedDate":1768155746558,"projectUrl":"project/scoping-out-science/9998237/","projectTitle":"Scoping out Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alba","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9065906_orig.png?crop=355,355,x482,y41&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698903014621","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/vivarium"},{"teacherId":10346732,"projectId":10006138,"letterContent":"From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting our project, \"Calm Bodies, Focused Minds, Growing Readers.\" Because of your generosity, our K–2 special education classroom is now filled with tools that help our students feel safe, regulated, confident, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe social-emotional books you provided are already making a meaningful impact. As I read these stories aloud, my students are learning to name their feelings, understand their emotions, and practice positive coping skills. For many of them, developing emotional awareness is a critical part of their daily growth, and these books give us powerful opportunities for discussion and connection.\r\n\r\nThe games, fidgets, and sensory items have made an incredible difference in our daily routines. Students who once struggled to sit for circle time or small group instruction now have supportive tools that help calm their bodies and focus their minds. With access to sensory supports, they are better able to participate, engage, and take academic risks.\r\n\r\nThe grooved writing books are especially exciting for our emerging writers. These tools give students the tactile guidance they need to build proper letter formation, strengthen fine motor skills, and grow more confident in their handwriting. Watching them beam with pride as they write their names independently is truly priceless.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a classroom environment where students feel supported academically and emotionally.
