Gates, and on behalf of my students here at Windy Hill Middle School, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of our new 3-D printer and filament. Your kindness has already begun to transform our classroom in ways that are both meaningful and life-changing.\r\nFor many of my students—especially those from low-income households—access to hands-on, future-focused technology is something they've only dreamed about. Thanks to your support, they now get to see it, touch it, and create with it. Their eyes light up every time the printer begins to hum, because they're watching ideas that once lived only in their imaginations become real, tangible objects. You've opened a doorway to creativity, careers, and confidence that some of them never knew was possible.\r\nThe 3-D printer has already become an essential tool for learning and growth in our classroom. I've been able to print plastic frogs for students who are uncomfortable with or anxious about traditional dissections. This gives them the opportunity to explore anatomy in a way that respects their boundaries while still building scientific understanding.\r\nI've also been printing stim fidgets—small, sensory tools designed to help students who struggle with emotional regulation or self-harm tendencies. These fidgets provide a safe, controlled outlet, allowing students to redirect those impulses without breaking the skin. You didn't just fund a piece of technology—you helped protect the wellbeing of children who truly need it.\r\nIn science class, the printer has helped us create customizable atomic models, molecular structures, and engineering prototypes that would have been impossible to obtain otherwise. Beyond the classroom, students in our extracurricular clubs have used it to design and print pieces for competitions, school projects, and creative challenges. Each print builds not only skills, but pride.\r\nYour donation didn't just give us a machine. It gave my students hope, empowerment, and a glimpse of the future they could one day build for themselves. The impact of your generosity reaches far beyond this year—it plants the seeds for curiosity, resilience, and opportunity for generations of young learners.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of every student whose life you've touched:\r\nThank you.
