The joy these new resources have brought to our K–5 Title I library has been incredible.\r\n\r\nThe very first time students saw the new LEGO materials, the screams could be heard down the front hallway. Eyes went wide, hands reached out, and they raced—literally ran—to start building. They are currently learning to follow steps to build specific models, while also inventing their own creations and even building onto each other's designs. That collaboration has been such a powerful thing to watch.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments happened just last week: a group of reluctant readers who often hang back during other activities became completely absorbed in engineering a castle together. They proudly explained their \"design improvements\" to me, layering creativity over problem-solving in ways that showed real confidence and teamwork.\r\n\r\nYour gift gave them that moment—and so many more.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue expanding their building skills by tackling small design challenges, creating story scenes to pair with books, and contributing to a rotating \"community build\" on the LEGO Wall.
