Our K–5 library is a lively Curiosity Community where every learner finds a place to belong. Students range from non-verbal communicators to gifted thinkers, yet they share the same spark—wonder. They especially love read-aloud time and arrive expecting a compelling story each visit—ready to giggle at silly tales, shiver through spooky chapters, and beg for the next book in a beloved series. New titles are treasures that spark curiosity and invite even reluctant readers to lean in. During independent reading time, they gather on cushions, under tables, or cozy corners on the carpet, each finding the perfect spot to hear their own thoughts—the gift of silence—while losing themselves in stories. Beyond books, curiosity comes alive as students piece together puzzles, craft poems with magnetic words, explore maps and globes, and build on our LEGO wall. Thanks to DonorsChoose, this space is exactly what I envisioned.
