I have seen an increase in fluency comprehension and vocabulary. The tools you helped fund have helped my students progress towards mastery with the understanding of characters, setting, main/sequence of events in stories. My students are able to work at their own pace, choose a story they desire, draw and write their favorites parts and complete story maps and other activities. \r\nAgain, thank you for your donation. We have the materials organized into the bins and students can choose which they'd like to work on in the morning with no more than a group of two. When I told my class that our project got funded, we all were beyond excited and everyone clapped and cheered. They do not quite understand but they do know that an amazing person donated and purchased everything we were asking for.\r\n\r\nOne of our next projects will be preparing for our annual Science Fair. We will be conducting an experiment using the Scientific Method and we plan on using the magnetic toys to demonstrate force and motion. I can say out of every toy I have in my classroom, then STEM bins (especially the legos) are their favorite. We also will be using the magnetic blocks and legos to help understand subtraction and addition so these materials are not only for quiet mornings and arrival time but we also use them in our everyday learning at school.
