Having iPads in my classroom will allow my students the opportunity to be more engaged and interact while still enjoying the learning experience. Students can utilize their sight words as a tool for reading and writing. Also, there are fantastic math tools with digital manipulative. Finally, the iPad has multiple free digital library's. Student may also engage in collaborative reading while recording on the iPad. Teaching the love of reading in kindergarten sets a solid academic foundation for life. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
