As an Occupational Therapist in the school setting, I look at modifications and accommodations to help students with special needs to be successful in the classroom. With the sudden implementation of distance learning, it has been very difficult for students, teachers, therapists, and especially parents to adjust to all of the computer time. Wobble cushions provide students with just enough movement to assist with sensory needs, can improve attention, balance, and postural strength, which is important for all desktop activities. These cushions can be of great benefit to students working via distance learning, as well as on campus. If schools do open, there will likely be fewer transitions, with more time in the classroom. So either way, these cushions would greatly benefit my students. Thank you for considering this project!
