The height-adjustable trapezoid desk gives students another flexible workspace option and allows me to arrange students in different ways depending on the activity. The construction paper storage will help keep our classroom materials organized and easily accessible, while the bulletin board paper will allow me to create an inviting classroom space that showcases student work and important Health concepts.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new desk, they were excited to have a different type of workspace available in the classroom. They enjoyed seeing that our classroom could be arranged in different ways depending on what we were learning. Students also appreciate having a classroom that feels colorful, organized, and reflective of their work.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building a classroom environment that supports collaboration, creativity, and student ownership. Students will use the new workspace during upcoming Health activities and projects, while the bulletin boards will be updated throughout the year to display student work, learning targets, and important health information. The electric pencil sharpeners have also been especially helpful during class activities by keeping our pencils ready to use and reducing interruptions when students need to sharpen their pencils.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to see the new supplies, especially the large variety of colors available to them. They were excited to have enough materials for everyone to participate without constantly having to wait for or share supplies. It was great to see their enthusiasm when they realized they could use the materials to make their projects more creative and personalized.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students?\r\n\r\nStudents will continue using these supplies throughout the school year as we complete hands-on Health activities and projects.
