The concert was a huge success with high student and family turn-out, snacks and beverages for people to enjoy, and wonderful performances by all of the musicians who performed. The PA system and speakers allowed students to be heard clearly, for the piano to project throughout the media center, and were portable so setting them up and taking them down was a simple process. \r\n\r\nStudents and parents alike have been asking with great anticipation when the next Cafe Concert will be! This event will become a quarterly event to allow more opportunities for performances. These quality speakers helped the students to share their music and bring joy to people in our community and will continue to do so for years to come. Books that are published in Spanish and French have helped our students learn those languages using a new perspective, and they are really enjoying themselves. \r\n\r\nTeachers are enjoying having \"real world\" resources for our students to use instead of made up exercises. Students are engaged in their reading and are enjoying tackling the language.\r\n\r\nStudents who are learning English are also benefitting from the books as well. Having books in a student's native language lets them know that they belong and they are valued. Speakers of other languages can use these books to learn about complicated literary devices and concepts without having to struggle with vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThis project has been wonderful for several different aspects of our school community.
