These games provide a fun, structured way for students to interact, helping them build important social skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. They also create an inclusive environment where all students can participate and feel connected, regardless of their circumstances. Having access to engaging activities has reduced behavior issues and made indoor time something students genuinely look forward to, supporting both their social and emotional growth.","fullyFundedDate":1768072094032,"projectUrl":"project/building-classroom-community/9990527/","projectTitle":"Building Classroom Community","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cagney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6417843"},{"teacherId":8175930,"projectId":10010469,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to express my sincere thanks for donating to my project. The impact your generosity has made is significant!\r\nFrom hand's on learning, to the games that they are using to help learn basic skills, the materials I received have helped my students grow in many ways.\r\n\r\nCreative play that helps teach basic concepts has helped my non-english speaking students express themselves and has demonstrated their understanding of what we are learning. By using the play clay, students form letters, create habitats for the animals we have been studying, and reinforced STEM concepts such as push and pull. The magnet tiles have really been a big hit! We have been using them to build games for our stem showcase - they made a air hockey game to show push and pull as well! I have also been using them to teach sounds and words by writing on them with dry erase markers . The art supplies have been used in ways that have really helped my students demonstrate learned concepts. From characters made with the craft sticks to painting with the paint sticks to make pictures of stem concepts, students are able to express their understanding in a wider variety of ways. For my part, having materials that I can use to prepare my lessons has been a life saver!\r\n\r\nI have a wonderful class, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to provide engaging and fun activities to help them learn and grow!","fullyFundedDate":1768341066499,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-the-fun-to-foundational-learnin/10010469/","projectTitle":"Bringing the Fun to Foundational Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pennington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8175930"},{"teacherId":9173819,"projectId":10009864,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our diverse K–5 students in Reno, many of whom are from low-income backgrounds. Your generosity makes a lasting difference.\r\n\r\nWhen students feel safe and supported, they are more likely to engage in learning, build healthy relationships, and contribute positively to their school environment. One of my favorite moments was watching students naturally spread out with their books, choosing spots that helped them focus and feel comfortable. Students who previously struggled to stay engaged during reading time are now settling in, reading longer, and showing more stamina. The seating has created a calm, welcoming space that helps students feel safe, relaxed, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new seating options, their excitement was immediate. They couldn't wait to try each spot and were eager to talk about which seat helped them focus best. It sparked meaningful conversations about learning preferences, self-regulation, and respect for shared spaces. The cozy reading area quickly became a favorite part of our classroom, and students take pride in caring for it and using it responsibly.\r\n\r\nNext, we are using this space as we continue building reading stamina, comprehension strategies, and book discussions. Students will use the cozy area to practice close reading, partner talk, and reflection after reading. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom now includes a space that supports comfort, confidence, and a love of reading—something my students will benefit from every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1723660847951,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-reading-area/8642250/","projectTitle":"Cozy Reading Area","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7884307"},{"teacherId":2880557,"projectId":10011945,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Technology in the Music Classroom project.
