Our students are continuously working on their computers to assist in meeting multiple standards. This will allow students to sit near a charging area, without the computer getting overheated by having it on the carpet. The headphone will help students practice their listening skills as well as limit distraction by silencing noises from the computers. We will be working on standards RL 4.2 and RL 4.3 by refering to detains in the text and drawing inferencing. Also summarizing a story, this will help limit the distractions from other students computers. When typing their summaries, they will be working on the standard L4.2, using standard English capitalization, punctuation, spelling when writing. Also 4.6 Acquiring and use grade level vocabulary in their writing(typing on the computer.) The students also will be using the headphones and surfdesks during math, which the tests are on the computer, and this will help everyone concentrate on their own tests and they can listen to the questions as well as read the questions in a quiet area of the room on their surf desks. The standards for math are OA.A and NBT.A and NBT.B. We use computers everyday in class and this will help my student focus, concentrate and be able to complete their work in a comfortable setting.
