The Lakeshore rug has colored squares that provides each student a perfect amount of space to sit and read. \r\nWe begin every morning at the rug to go over our morning news. We gather here for read alouds too. Students love to bring centers to the rug because they have room to spread out and explore using math maniplulatives. I know my students enjoy this new Lakeshore rug as much as I do. It has been such a great addition to our classroom. What a sweet moment that was. \r\n\r\nMy students particpate in working stations with different activities that offer them time to be creative, expressive and the opporiutnity to grow each at thier own pace. They love the color pencils, markers and pens so much. \r\nI have seen my students blossom and feel so confident when decoding words to spell on their own. We have begun a collection of class stories and student writings. Soon we will be able to read and add to the work they have started. The materials donated have made a great impact. My students have gained a love for writing.
