Our girls were pumped about having their own practice jersey and your donation allowed us to maximize the use of our practice time. Transitions were efficient and practice continued. Our success this season can be contributed to our athletes work ethic during practice. Practice provided a safe space for our athletes to grow, take risks, challenge each other and grind everyday. I have had students excitedly share \"they look like me!\" or \"that happened to me!\" when I pull out or read a book. \r\n\r\nStudents have also recognized through reading that there are many people in the world that are not like them, who may act or look differently, but that they should always treat them with respect. One book that discusses autism was engaging for my students, who recognize family members who may act similarly to the characters in the story, and it was impactful to see how much they recognize differences are not a bad thing! Thank you for helping enhance my student's compassion through reading.","fullyFundedDate":1738855491999,"projectUrl":"project/books-are-mirrors-and-windows/9095937/","projectTitle":"Books are mirrors and windows!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Donenfeld","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7324128_orig.png?crop=598,598,x0,y31&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738618201257","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7324128"},{"teacherId":6275927,"projectId":8455420,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions towards our class.
