Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them especially the students who struggle with inattentiveness. I have noticed differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They usually make good choices about where they sit and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. My students will be more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. The seating choices I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools will allow my students to sit at the table while allowing some quiet movement without disrupting their peers. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. The comfy floor seats will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom or resource space as needed. The knobby round disks will sit on top of the student's chair and give sensory input needed to be successful in the general classroom setting and can easily be moved to other spaces throughout the day. I hope that the additional seating options will help the students grow even more!
