These materials will be used to support student knowledge of mathematics, social and emotional learning topics, manners, kindness, literary ideas, and more! Providing students with access to diverse topics in literature ensures that they grow into productive, well-rounded citizens that are able to appreciate differences in others. I also want to use picture books to help students recognize their own emotions and learn to regulate them effectively. Students will also learn to be kind to one another, because, as one of the books I want for them says, "our class is a family".
