It will be interesting to see the aluminum foil boat designs every grade creates and the concrete science concepts they will grasp through testing and observation. \r\nWe will continue to use the materials through the rest of the year and the students are so excited to experience math and science in hands-on ways. The tangram template cards were particularly challenging at first, but as students have practiced with them, they are gaining more confidence and joy as they excel at this spatial awareness activity.\r\nThe large individual whiteboards are useful for students to write out their math thinking while we play Krypto. Students have improved in their teamwork skills as one person records and another presents by reading the math thinking on the individual white board.
