Encouraging students to work with their hands and stay off tablets, or phones will help with focusing and make better brain connetions. Students need to help their brain make connections in order for them to impove their education. The items in the gift bag: the kinetic and play dough with play dough scissors, fidget spinner, puzzle, ball, watercolor paint, water squirtter, abc pop it, wax yarn sticks are all items to help them be creative, use their fingers, and encourages them to play instead of sit and watch a device. Students will improve their eye hand cordiation while practicing bouncing the ball, putting the puzzle together and using the wax yarn sticks to make things. \r\n\r\nStudents can make up stories as they paint with water colors, make creatures with yarn sticks, play dough, or the fidget spinners. The pop it will keep the colors, numbers, and abcs in their memory as they play bingo and help with focusing. \r\nThey can practice counting, saying the days of the week or the abcs while bouncing the ball. The water squirter can make the letters, numbers or sight words disappear. \r\n\r\nCreating this bag of activities and sending them home will keep them entertained while helping them improve their thinking and focusing skills. Children have been excited to work with the items and are sharing what they are doing with the items when they are at home.
