They gathered around, eager to try them out and noticing how much easier it was to move between cameras, microphones, and editing stations.\r\n\r\nWe now use the chairs daily in our broadcast journalism and yearbook classes during our 81-minute block periods. Students rotate between filming, recording voice-overs with our Yeti microphones, and editing video segments and yearbook layouts on our computers. The chairs have made collaboration smoother — students can quickly roll over to peer-review a script, help troubleshoot an edit, or work side-by-side on a page design without constantly stopping to rearrange the room.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, the classroom now feels like a true media workspace instead of a traditional computer lab. The next step for my students is completing their one-minute school expectations videos and beginning upcoming yearbook spread deadlines. Other students will continue working on their daily student news projects and collaborating within their groups. I had student Teacher Assistant students help to put the cart and wagon together and then pump up balls and fill both with the activity items. \r\n\r\nThe first use of these items was at the beginning of November for our Shark Fin Incentive Party! The students were so excited! The jumbo Connect Four, Jenga, and toss games were a huge hit! These are such special items that students will enjoy for years to come. We plan to use them for our incentive day parties and on Fun Fridays well into the future years. \r\n\r\nThe wagon was a great idea for transportation of the larger games. The ball cart stores the many balls, jump ropes and pumps in an organized manner helping with the management and organized distribution and collection of these items.
