One activity that stood out was when students worked in small groups to create their own short stories using the puzzle as inspiration. It was exciting to see them build on each other's ideas and take ownership of their group work.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the carpet, their reactions were full of excitement. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it created a positive energy in the classroom that carried into the lesson. They were especially eager to start using the carpet right away rather than sitting at their desk.\r\n\r\nThroughout the weeks, my second graders showed strong collaboration skills and supported one another in meaningful ways. They shared ideas, helped peers who were stuck, and celebrated each other's contributions on the new carpet. It was rewarding to watch them grow more confident as they worked together, and their excitement remained high from start to finish. More recently, students had so much fun designing and building leprechaun traps for St. Patrick's Day, using their imagination and problem-solving skills to bring their ideas to life.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were incredibly excited. Many of them immediately wanted to start creating, and their enthusiasm was evident as they carefully chose colors and shared ideas with one another.
