Many of my students struggle with staying focused while sitting in traditional chairs for extended periods of time. The seat cushions and wobble seats allow them to move safely and appropriately while still staying engaged in learning. Instead of using their energy trying to sit perfectly still, they are now able to channel that movement into focus and participation.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets have also been a game changer. For students who need something to keep their hands busy, these tools provide a quiet, productive outlet that helps reduce distractions and anxiety. I've seen students who previously had difficulty concentrating now remain engaged in lessons, participate more confidently, and complete their work with greater independence.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donations have created a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Our units on landforms and the change Earth are upcoming and these items will be used almost every day of the week for I'd say a month and beyond.\r\n\r\nAnd then I found an added benefit. As we started studying waves in fourth grade, I saw that we could see disturbances better when the water was moving (and tinted). Our with the mini kits, and here we are: watching \"rain\" fall, watching puddles form and ripples run across a surface. They could have spent all afternoon working with the stream beds.\r\n\r\nI also am beginning my afterschool science enrichment program for our ENL population, a group that highly benefits from strong visuals and hands on.
