Your support has made a meaningful difference in my classroom and in the daily learning experiences of my students.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students have consistent access to essential materials such as notebooks, writing tools, and hands-on resources that allow them to fully engage in lessons without worry or interruption. These supplies help create an organized, welcoming environment where students feel prepared, confident, and motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nHaving adequate materials has also allowed me to plan more interactive and meaningful activities, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. Most importantly, your support helps ensure that all students—regardless of circumstance—have the tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you for investing in our classroom and in their education. The new bookshelves and storage containers have helped us create a more organized and welcoming reading space. The students can easily access materials for independent reading or for research projects. We currently just did a Black History Month research presentation and students were able to store their notes day to day and find the books they needed easily. \r\nThey were beyond excited for the bookshelves, making comments such as, \"We have a real library now!\" They were also eager to help put them together themselves.\r\nThey were most excited about the snacks! Because I have a double blocked class there are some students who lose focus easily because they are hungry and cannot wait for lunch. These have been a great tool to help. Keep them focused and succeed with their assignments.\r\nOur next step in the classroom is continuing with an explanatory writing unit where students are identifying the qualities of a Survivor and using textual evidence to support those ideas because of the improved organization and access to materials. This will be a smooth transition into their research, drafting, and peer feedback stations. The headphones will help those who need to watch documentaries from our online textbook.\r\nYour support has strengthened our classroom community and the learning environment. We are incredibly grateful for your investment in our classrooms, growth and development.","fullyFundedDate":1768705814983,"projectUrl":"project/shelf-care-helping-our-books-find-a-hom/10027437/","projectTitle":"Shelf Care: Helping Our Books Find a Home","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Clark","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6226340"},{"teacherId":9350682,"projectId":7994079,"letterContent":"The supplies funded through DonorsChoose have made a meaningful difference in my classroom by allowing students to engage more actively and confidently in their learning. Having access to these materials has helped me create lessons that are more hands-on, organized, and responsive to different learning styles. Students are more willing to participate when they feel prepared and supported, and these resources have helped remove barriers that often get in the way of learning. The supplies also allow me to spend less time worrying about what we lack and more time focusing on instruction and student growth. I've seen increased collaboration and focus during class activities as a result. Overall, this support has created a more positive, equitable learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1699023855914,"projectUrl":"project/ms-smilowitzs-creative-math-project/7994079/","projectTitle":"Ms. Smilowitz's Creative Math Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smilowitz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9350682"},{"teacherId":9351791,"projectId":8282400,"letterContent":"This rocket project became one of those unforgettable learning experiences that sticks with students long after the lesson ends. Students worked together to design and build their own rockets, testing ideas, solving problems, and learning through trial and error. The excitement was real—from the planning stage to the countdown—and when their rockets launched nearly 1,000 feet into the air, the sense of accomplishment was electric.\r\nWhat made the project especially powerful was how much joy and ownership students felt. Learning wasn't something happening to them; it was something they created. Even now, two years later, students still bring it up with smiles, proudly remembering how high their rockets flew and how it felt to see their hard work literally take off. That kind of experience builds confidence, curiosity, and a lasting connection to science that no worksheet could ever replace.","fullyFundedDate":1712871815542,"projectUrl":"project/blast-of-with-quadratics-come-to-life/8282400/","projectTitle":"Blast of with Quadratics Come to Life!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Makupson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9351791_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769030309293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9351791"},{"teacherId":310784,"projectId":9199045,"letterContent":"It is only with your generosity that my students get to expand their math skills.
