What seemed like a simple tool quickly became a powerful way to bring consistency and organization into our daily lessons. Students no longer worry about losing papers or mixing classwork with other subjects; they have a personal resource that belongs to their language journey.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been phenomenal. Students are more confident in their writing because they know they can revisit vocabulary, grammar notes, and cultural reflections they've collected. The notebooks also allow students to track their progress; they can look back at early entries and see how much their writing and comprehension have improved. This visible growth has built motivation and pride in their learning.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will transform these notebooks into language portfolios, where students will collect evidence of their growth throughout the year. These supplies will help start the year off with the basic needed to run class. We also cleaned off work areas with the Lyson wipes to keep germs and dirt to a minimum.\r\n\r\nThe supplies are being used and keep my students happy, healthy and productive for the first half of the school year. Without your help I wouldn't have had the resources to make this dream happen! \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to get started once they saw the amazing variety of fabrics that you bought for them! After they collected the fabrics they wanted they were shown how to sew together the pieces to create a larger pattern. Once their quilt top was created I taught them how to make the 'quilt sandwich' with the batting and backing fabric. They then quilted by hand! \r\n\r\nA few of my students loved it so much they want to make another! And even the students that didn't love the process gained a big appreciation for quilts and how much work and thought goes into the process of creating a quilt.
