In addition to our new friends displaced from their homes, our school has many English language learners that will deeply benefit from tablet programs that will help build comprehension and reading fluency skills. Access through the requested Amazon Fire tablets will enable us to offer reading and program selections in Spanish, Arabic, Swahili and English; helping English Language Learners develop a foundation in their first language in order to help them develop proficiency in the second language, English. Tablets with cases will give my students the opportunity to receive individualized and interactive guidance through learning apps that will help students develop a strong foundation in reading and literacy. By using tablets, we can connect to, measure skills mastered, and keep the interest of our English Language Learning students.
