This year, drama is new to our school and I'm in the midst of establishing our curriculum for Drama 1. My goal is to create a class that covers the wide variety of artistic specialties within the theatre, including set design. This Donors Choose project will go directly towards the materials we will need to create our own set models for a one act that we will be studying. The students will read and analyze the play, choose a scene, and complete the design and model for that scene. My hope is that my students see that theatre isn't only acting, but encompasses a wide range of skills and expertise.
