Sometimes they arrive feeling overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, or simply hungry. Thanks to your generosity, I now have additional resources to help them feel comfortable, welcomed, and ready to engage.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest highlights has been having snacks available for students when they come in for counseling sessions or simply need something to eat. The children have really appreciated having this option, and it has been wonderful to be able to offer something so simple yet meaningful. Sometimes, meeting a child's basic needs is the first step toward helping them feel settled and ready to talk, learn, or work through their emotions.\r\n\r\nAnother favorite has been our slime-making activities! The students have absolutely loved creating their own slime, especially during our small group sessions. These activities have provided opportunities for creativity, connection, and practicing self-regulation. It has been wonderful to see how engaged and excited the children become while participating in something that is both fun and therapeutic.\r\n\r\nThe additional prizes have also been a huge hit! The children especially love the toy cars and having a greater variety of items to choose from in our prize box. Being able to offer more choices has made celebrating their efforts, positive behaviors, and progress even more exciting and meaningful.\r\n\r\nAll of these materials have been incredibly helpful in supporting students' emotional regulation, encouraging participation, and creating positive experiences during counseling and group activities. They have helped make my space one where children feel safe, supported, and excited to return.\r\n\r\nWhat may seem like small items can have such a meaningful impact on a child's school day. Whether it is enjoying a snack, proudly showing off their homemade slime, or choosing a special prize, these moments bring joy while helping children build important social-emotional skills.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping me create a space where students feel seen, cared for, and valued. Your generosity has gone beyond providing supplies. You have helped create opportunities for connection, comfort, learning, and growth.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for your support and for believing in the importance of nurturing the whole child.\r\nMUCHAS GRACIAS","fullyFundedDate":1786031385024,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-regulate-refocus-and/10266739/","projectTitle":"Helping Students Regulate, Refocus, and Thrive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Karen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9195072_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695422844332","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9195072"},{"teacherId":1727092,"projectId":10180780,"letterContent":"Thank you all so very much for your incredibly generous donations! I have seen students who are naturally drawn to technology become classroom helpers and role models, assisting with organizing and caring for our devices. Students who may need additional engagement during traditional lessons have also benefited from having opportunities to interact with digital activities and learning platforms.
