These tools have already made a tremendous difference in how my students engage with their learning.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors use technology at home but may not fully realize how essential and transformative it is in our school setting. The sublimation printer and related materials open up a whole new world of creativity and hands-on learning for students. They are not just printing—they are designing personalized projects that integrate art, technology, and critical thinking. This kind of experiential learning helps students develop skills that are vital for the future, such as problem-solving, precision, and digital creativity.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about this new technology is the ability to see their original designs come to life on various materials. The process from concept to finished product is magical for them, igniting enthusiasm and pride in their work. The erasable highlighters and gel pens also add to their excitement by allowing them to experiment and revise their ideas without fear of mistakes, supporting a growth mindset in the classroom.\r\n\r\nI've noticed particular excitement among students who typically feel less confident in more traditional academic tasks. These tools give them an opportunity to shine through creative expression and technical skills, boosting their confidence and engagement. It's inspiring to see their faces light up when they realize their design can be printed and transformed into a tangible item they can share.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. Two examples are that my 1st graders will use the Play-doh, feathers and pipe cleaners to create \"new\" insects. And my 2nd graders will learn about the properties of matter when they have a hot chocolate bar day (styrofoam cups and spoons).\r\n I am always trying to engage students and enhance their learning with hand-on experiences. Sometimes it is necessary for me to go beyond my provided curriculum to reach children with different learning styles. We are fortunate to have iPad devices for all students to use, but no keyboards. When you type on a digital device a keypad pops up blocking half of the screen. Therefore, wireless keyboards were a necessity for me to successfully teach the skill.\r\n I could not believe the reaction from the students when I showed them the new tools. They were so excited! Or that 3D printers can build items necessary in the medical field.\r\n Right now it is very exciting to watch the printer in action. My students think it is cool to see the filament being heated through a tube and how it builds items in layers. \r\n I have one particular 2nd grader who loves that there is now a 3D printer in my STEM lab. He has shared what he knows and recently at our Open House, he brought his dad into my room to show it off, and yes I had it printing!
