My special education students are eager to learn and do well at school but have limited use of technology at home. My students are more focused and engaged in their learning when they are using technology to learn. In my classroom I have two laptops for my students to use. Students enjoy using technology to supplement the programs we use to help them meet their learning goals in reading and math. We are requesting two Samsung tablets. There are several reading and math programs students are required to use throughout the school day and having two tablets in our class will give students an opportunity to utilize these programs in my classroom. Tablets will also be used to read books, play math and reading games, listen to stories, and improve their writing.
