We often use the books during read-aloud and independent reading time. The books, along with the props, have been very helpful for teaching sounds and everyday words. Students also enjoy acting out the characters' emotions, which helps them better understand both the story and their own feelings.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were excited and ready to participate. They loved the pictures, books, and activities, and it made them feel safe to share. Next, we are working on simple group skits where students practice solving problems and showing empathy.
