My name is Ashley Perez and I am a 5th Grade teacher with 26 wonderful new students. 100% of my students are learning English as a second language, most coming from very low income households, with large families. Also, as a small starter school, with a limited budget, the necessary resources available for student growth is limited. Currently, 90% of these children are below grade level in both reading and math, ranging from kindergarten through third grade. With help, my hopes are extremely high that all my students can reach their individual goals!
