The materials have allowed us to build routines centered around mindfulness, reflection, and emotional expression. For example, during our morning meetings, students use items from their care packages to share how they're feeling, practice calming strategies, or participate in short social-emotional activities. One memorable moment was when a student who is usually very quiet used the materials to express their feelings and open up during a discussion—something they had never done before. It created a powerful sense of connection among the class.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first received their care packages, their reactions were priceless. They were excited, curious, and truly touched to have something of their own to support them during virtual learning. My students spend a significant amount of time using laptops and tablets for reading, writing, research, and interactive learning programs. While this access to technology is incredibly valuable, it can also lead to eye strain and fatigue, especially for young learners. Because of your support, my students now have blue light glasses that help protect their eyes, allowing them to stay focused and comfortable during their screen time.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been how much better they feel while learning. They often share that their eyes don't feel as tired, and they're able to concentrate longer without discomfort. This has led to improved engagement, especially during longer lessons or independent work time. My students who were selected to be a part of our school orchestra now have a second instrument to practice their musical skills both in school and at home. Even more important, is the gift of music that you help provide for the students who are not a part of the orchestra. These students are also able to learn to play an instrument and learn to read musical notes.\r\nIn addition, we have been able to complete multiple artist studies and artwork using lessons from the resources purchased from the TPT gift cards. The students enjoyed reading informational texts and writing biographies about the artists we have focused on. You have truly made a positive impact in bringing both visual and performance arts in our classroom.
