The Apple iPad will greatly enhance my teaching experience for my Kindergarten students when we hold Zoom sessions. The Apple iPad will allow me to communicate with my students with clearer communication on Zoom no matter where I am. I will be able to see them and speak with them more effectively like if we were back in the classroom! Communicating virtually has become a challenge because of lack of proper equipment but very important to my Kindergarteners’ social and emotional well being! My students are not able to leave their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine in Los Angeles County. I would really love to better their distance learning experience while trying to complete activities with me over Zoom or other online learning platforms without any technical issues. While my students were very lucky to be able to check out an iPad through our district, it is only one of the missing pieces. They are also missing the online face to face support of myself and their peers without any technology obstacles during our newly established distance learning. My Kindergarteners deserve the best virtual education I can possibly provide!
