Your contributions have made a tremendous difference in how our sixth grade and seventh grade math students experience learning. We've been using the new resources daily to bring financial literacy to life. \r\nThrough ClassBank, our online banking platform, students manage their classroom finances—depositing paychecks, paying bills, and tracking balances digitally. This system allows them to apply math concepts like decimals, percentages, and budgeting in meaningful, real-world ways. \r\nThe mobile whiteboard has become a favorite tool for completing math tasks. We use it to demonstrate math problems during interactive lessons. The cleaning supplies—Clorox wipes, Lysol spray, and microfiber cloths—help us maintain a clean, organized classroom, while the snacks you provided have stocked our classroom store, giving students exciting rewards for their hard work and smart financial choices. \r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when students made their first withdrawals from ClassBank to purchase items from our in-person classroom store. The excitement was contagious as they carefully counted their classroom money and proudly made their purchases. It was incredible to see them connect their digital banking experience to real-world spending decisions, all while practicing responsibility and math skills. \r\nWhen the materials first arrived, we were thrilled. We eagerly unpacked everything and couldn't wait to start using the new supplies to make our classroom economy even better. \r\nOur students will be working on creating personal budgets to plan how they'll spend and save their classroom earnings. They'll calculate expenses, set savings goals, and track their progress over time—strengthening their understanding of decimals, percentages, and real-world money management. \r\nYour generosity has transformed our classroom into a vibrant, engaging space where students are motivated to learn, collaborate, and take ownership of their education. Thank you for believing in them and supporting their journey toward lifelong financial literacy.","fullyFundedDate":1768885518379,"projectUrl":"project/building-financial-literacy-through-a-cl/10039582/","projectTitle":"Building Financial Literacy Through a Classroom Economy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vincent","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10166573_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768688567639","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10166573"},{"teacherId":9646959,"projectId":9740300,"letterContent":"My students were overjoyed to learn that our class project received full funding. The most valued supplies are the dry erase markers and microfiber towels, as they enjoy showcasing their work directly on the desktop. This practice of writing on the surface is crucial for their learning experience. Another favorite among the middle schoolers is the modeling clay, which serves as a handy stress reliever for them. Additionally, the snacks and trinkets played a significant role in our March Madness concession stand. As students completed various learning tasks, they earned money and were then required to fill out an order form to purchase rewards while continuing their work.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support that made this possible.
