The immediate impact has been a noticeable increase in student engagement during our health lessons and a newfound confidence in their ability to maintain their own personal hygiene routines.\r\nThe initial reaction from my students when the materials were unveiled was a mix of surprise and excitement. They were particularly drawn to the colorful towels and body wash. The excitement was palpable as students were handed their hygiene kits.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the students are eager to apply their new knowledge to the next steps of our project on hygiene essentials. We will be building on the foundational skills we have learned by exploring \"germ hot spots\" in the classroom using germ indicator powder to visualize the necessity of our new cleaning routines. Following that, students will collaborate on creating an \"essential hygiene guide\" for younger students in the school. The guide will feature best practices and tips they have learned, empowering them to become advocates for health and wellness within our school community. My students really appreciate all the items! The folders are colorful and sturdy. So far, they have survived being brought in and out of desks throughout the day. The folders have also made it easier to house extra writing paper and allow each student to create a colorful label. The front plastic pouch will also allow me to reuse the folders next year. \r\n\r\nThe index cards have allowed students to easily organize vocabulary and keep their usernames and passwords secure. I have been able to laminate them so they can better withstand the daily use in the classroom and daily trips home for extra practice. \r\n\r\nI have been able to use the highlighters in small groups every day. Plus the students enjoy the bright colors.
