The candy also is located in our fun Friday prize box! They love seeing it in there and I also use it as a treat if they are in my 100% homework club. These items, especially in bulk, can get pricy and I just don't have it to supply for a class of 25 students. They absolutely love picking what scent and color which is building extra vocabulary in making a request and practicing describing words! It has been a blessing to be able to print out awards for them in color so that they get an extra special award. No offense to grey-scale awards, but colorful ones are so much more exciting to earn!\r\n\r\n On top of that, I have been able to print out colorful reference pages which brings to life our learning! We've been working hard on identifying our emotions using a Mood Meter with colorful emojis. A paper version the kids can point to in color when they're not quite able to use their words has been so helpful. Also, the kids now have printed versions of a book or pages when we are referencing color words and that has been so helpful as well! (IE: This is a red bird.) That's a whole lot easier to read when the bird is actually red in the picture and not grey!\r\n\r\nLastly, our scholars have been loving earning their pencils. They come with the awards and the kids work extra hard to be able to get one! They're much more fun than the standard pencils. They all were also allowed to grab one for home for completing their homework. This led to an all-time high in homework completion that week! \r\n\r\nWith all of my heart thank you for being a blessing to my classroom.
