Since I have 28 students, it can sometimes be difficult to work in small groups virtually. I have been using the "breakout room" feature in zoom where some students are working independently in a breakout while I work with struggling students in a different breakout room. Since it is just me in the zoom with the students for most parts of the day, I have to trust that the students working independently are actually working and sometimes that doesn't always go as planned. I often have to keep going back and forth to check on the students and to see if they have any questions or need help. With an iPad, I will be able to be in both rooms at the same time which will be very helpful with classroom management. This will be beneficial for distance learning and can help me be more supportive to all of my students.
