I decided to give the laundry detergent soap and other toiletries to three teachers, I picked the three teachers because I figured they were the three that students felt the most comfortable with asking for things. About a week and a half after I gave them to them I noticed two students who I always saw walking on the hall quiet and with their heads walking together laughing and joking down the hall. Then I realized I noticed the scent of the laundry detergent that I had gave out. These boys are now way more confident and happier over a simple load of laundry being clean and fresh. These are things we take it for granted because we have them but it meant so much to them.\r\n\r\n I gave them the confidence to to take the things that they needed by having a student who didn't really need it go pick up a couple of things first. He got a couple of things and said thanks Miss and then walked out. Because he didn't need them he just brought them back to me the next day so that someone who didn't need it could have it but it gave the other kids confidence to just go take what they need. The things are sitting out on the counter in a little container so that they don't have to ask for it or feeling embarrassed because they need it.\r\n One of my students who can use a little help now and then did take a few little laundry detergent it came back because he is so unencumbered and said out loud hey Miss I used to have laundry detergent and it smells so good.
