All of my students have disabilities. Many of my students are English as a second language. This is how I used the \"Stick Them Up with Glue\". My higher functioning students were able to hold the glue guns and apply the hot glue to the back of the science flask and smoke and press the paper to the wall. They were impressed to reflect on how nice their artwork looked hanging high across the top of the whiteboard. My next group of students worked on identifying which activities were ready to be hung. Students were able to work on fine and gross motor skills by cutting the shapes a little closer to form. Some of my high school students have not had their work hung up in the classroom. Sometimes they don't color in the lines, and they scribble. With individual guidance and peer support those students were directed to have the same finished product as all the other students. Students were able to provide peer support to their classmates. Students were able to let their talents shine. This activity gave me the opportunity to differentiate instructions. My next group of students worked identifying the rooms that could be placed in the home based on the size of the room and the location inside the shoebox. Some of my high school students are learning their colors. With individual guidance those students were directed to match colors and have the same finished product as all the other students. My fourth group of students were able to work on fine and gross motor skills by cutting the construction paper and gluing it to the carboard pieces. This activity gave me the opportunity to differentiate instructions.
