The students immediately wanted to explore everything, and it was so fun to see their enthusiasm as they discovered the new games, books, organizational materials, and rewards. Their excitement was contagious!\r\n\r\nThese resources have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom. The organizational supplies are helping us create a more functional and inviting learning environment, while the games and activities have given students engaging options for indoor recess and opportunities to practice important social skills such as cooperation, communication, problem-solving, and taking turns. Our new books and classroom rewards have also helped motivate students and build excitement around reading, learning, and making positive choices.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching students gather around the new games during indoor recess. They were eager to learn the rules, work together, and include one another. What could have been a long indoor recess quickly became an opportunity for laughter, teamwork, and connection.\r\n\r\nAs the school year continues, these materials will continue to support our learning, classroom community, and daily routines. We will use them to encourage positive behavior, celebrate student growth, provide meaningful choices during indoor recess, and create a classroom where students feel excited, supported, and valued.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students so much more than supplies. Your donations may have seemed like a simple classroom resource, but this color printer has already made a tremendous impact on my students' learning.\r\n\r\nWith this printer, I have been able to create colorful vocabulary cards with clear images that help students better understand and connect with new words. We have printed science charts and graphs in color, making it easier for students to analyze information, identify patterns, and deepen their understanding of complex concepts. Students have also been able to print vibrant images for their projects and posters, allowing them to showcase their creativity and learning in a way that truly represents their hard work.\r\n\r\nThis gift will continue to impact not only my current students but also the many future students who will walk through our classroom doors. This additional instrument has made a remarkable difference in our classroom. In most classes, we're now able to have two students per xylophone instead of three, which means significantly more playing time. And if there's one thing my students consistently ask for, it's more time to play their favorite instrument!\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite new xylophone exploration projects is inspired by the delightful book What Do Snowmen Do at Night? Students performed two different parts on the xylophones while we sang the song, rotating so that everyone had multiple opportunities to play.\r\n\r\nOur 6th graders also recently completed a \"Name That Tune\" project, where they were given sheets of melody lines and had to play them on the xylophone to identify the songs. My husband and I visited the classroom over the Thanksgiving Break in order to assemble the bookcases. Wow! They brighten up the classroom and provide the needed organization to enable our class to utilize the literacy program provided by our school district. I used to have to find little nooks and crannies to store the boxes of books - - greatly decreasing the accessibility to the materials. I'd have to wait to unbox the materials until just before they were needed. \r\n\r\nNow that I have space to set-out and organize the materials, our students are able to quickly access the curriculum materials.
