I could not have purchased these items without your help. The one subject notebooks are used each week for our Phonics Sorts. The students begin our kindergarten year by sorting pictures by beginning sound. These notebooks help to organize those sorts each week. Being able to cut and glue them in one notebook also allows for spiral reviews, too. Spiral reviews are when we can flip back through their previous sorts and make connections to their new learning standards. We continue with word sorts. Sometimes the students have to match by word family or sort by the vowel sound in their word lists. As they cut the pieces apart these notebooks allow the kids to learn how to organize their work and grow in confidence to work independently. \r\n\r\nThe primary lined journals create little confident writers throughout the year. In kindergarten I teach my students to write their letters properly on primary lines. These journals are just the right size for my little learners.
