First, we begin each lesson using plastic tiles to blend and segment words. The students have been loving this auditory drill! Then we review concepts that have already been taught using our AMAZING paddle whiteboards - these have been sooo helpful for both my students and me! I use my paddle whiteboards all day long in small groups! We also review vowel sounds using the popsicle sticks. When teaching a new concept, I have been able to incorporate tons of different types of texts thanks to the children's books I was able to purchase. My kiddos have also been learning tons of \"tricky\" words, color coding expected sounds in green and unexpected sounds in red.\r\n\r\nAs you can see, my students are doing many hands-on activities daily, which has already proven to be super effective.
