As the School Nurse I'm tasked with taking care of students when they have bathroom accidents and with this age group, PreK and Kindergarten, it is a frequent task. By the middle of the school year I had nothing left in my closet for such emergencies and had resorted to buying clothes myself. I can't begin to tell you the relief and comfort I see in the children when an accident occurs and I say \"no worries! I have the perfect thing for you to change into.\" \r\n School isn't just about academics, especially at age 4 and 5. Children are learning to exist somewhere other than home with Mom and Dad. They're learning to get along with others, to be considerate of others and how to be kind.
